Just about anything with exception of abstract
art. Abstract works dont feel like actual art to me, they feel more like
someone just threw paint at a canvas for money; art for people that cant create
art, if you will.

I was born and raised in Louisville, KY; at the
age of 19 I moved to Albuquerque,
NM and have been living here
since. My artistic life began at a very young age when I sketched out Garfield in 2nd grade then continued on to when I began actually drawing random faces by 6th grade. Id draw pictures of my friends for fun and give them away and
sometimes sketch out drawings of my favorite TV characters or musicians.
Occasionally I would also draw animals and keep those to myself.
At the end of middle
school I got into an internet phenomenon called FFRP (or final fantasy
role-play.) I had previously been role-playing Mortal Kombat characters up until that point and had just finished playing FFVII itself so
I immediately became immersed. Following this, I started frantically drawing
characters from the series along with my own made-up characters that I played
on a day to day basis. Aside from this Id sketch characters from my favorite
anime series, all but abandoning life-drawing.
After I finally grew out
of the anime phase, I continued into character designs and realistic art.
Im now in the process of reformulating my own personal style. I dont regret
spending so much time honing my skill on anime characters because during this
time I also grew strongly in my writing and creative skills. As a result Im
currently working on rewriting a RPG that I originally wrote for a high
school club; my goal is to create an immersive experience for an American
audience that doesnt include crappy spin-offs or nipple-vest clad,
effeminate male heroes.
Just to set the record straight, Ive found just about every
single RPG that came out after 1997 to be complete and total garbage. Theyve
all been either recycled stories or just total crap with pretty graphics
smeared all over to make them look interesting. The few that were the
exception to the rule I usually didnt end up finishing because the story
became lame or they were just so obscenely long I couldnt keep interested
enough to finish playing them. I also have an intense hate of sequels, which
unfortunately seems to be the majority of whats out on the market today.
There also was a point in my life where I was considering getting into cosplay, though that probably lasted all of two or three
months and the small spark of inspiration I had was quickly drowned out by
not only the cost, but the fandom involved. I just wasnt that dedicated to
playing dress up.
Three years ago I began helping out with a local haunted house
run by a friend of mines sister and brother-in-law. The first year I helped
out by shooting some crappy footage of the exit of the haunt, shaky and
uncoordinated, however now Im building props and helping with the stage
makeup. They recently went professional and now were hosted by a local
arcade (we set up in the parking lot.) Although I cant show pictures of
props currently in use, I can show some of the past makeup work and props
that have been retired. Since taking up a new hobby in wig-making I will
probably also be helping provide wigs for some of the corpse props next year.
Early into high school I was heavily into the anime scene and
could have easily fallen into the category of otaku; however, Ive gradually
lost interest in the genre with age. Im now into cyberpunk and a few other genre that dont necessary include that particular art or
writing-style. I do still have a lingering desire to do game character
layouts and perhaps illustrations on a minor scale, however Id rather have my own unique art style than continue using an
outdated and overused one.
Other things you may find
interesting: I have a gigantic cat and I love him to death. He's 3 feet long
and 16lbs. I can't resist lace-up anything. Lace-up boots, shirts, pants,
purses. I only wear boots. Yeah, really. I'm currently majoring in Medical Laboratory
Technology but it's not my first passion--to be a character illustrator. I am
a volunteer animator on a video game in progress that I'm not allowed to
release details about. I currently have no tattoos but I have 8 piercings and I plan on getting atleast 4 more. My hair has been nearly every color of the rainbow and every length
imaginable, it's also rediculously thick. I used to
get the "you look like Aeris" comment a
lot and once upon a time I would take that seriously; I don't anymore so
don't bring it up. I will occasionally talk shop about my past but I'll
quickly close up if it goes south. I will do giftart from time to time but commissions make me happier. I do all of my own webdesign by hand without the assistance of a builder
program. I've only taken one art class in the past and I ended up spending
the entire class doing my own stuff because the teacher herself admitted
there was nothing she could teach me. That doesn't mean I don't plan on
getting into classes in the future. I'm usually friendly so don't be afraid
to contact me.
